Is My Treatment Going To Hurt?

We will take every measure to ensure that your procedure is as comfortable and painless as possible. We will inject a small amount of anesthesia to gently numb a concentrated area of your mouth (similar to a filling). In general, root canal therapy is a boring procedure. For most patients, the feeling of numbness usually subsides after 2-3 hours.

How Long Will My Treatment Take?

Every tooth is unique, so treatment times can vary depending on the complexity of the needed treatment. In many instances, root canal therapy can be completed in one visit. Most appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes, which includes time for paper work and 3D imaging when required. (Most of the required forms can be completed online at your convenience prior to your appointment.)

Some teeth which will typically require more than one visit include retreatments, teeth with very large infections, teeth with complex anatomy, and root canals required due to a traumatic accident.

The Technology

Our specialty practice prides itself in having the lastest technology to give you the best care. Dr. Hiserote will use an operating microscope to ensure the most conservative treatment possible. Historically, a large amount of healthy, good tooth structure had to be removed to gain access to the root canals. Fortunately, this is not the case today with the operating microscope.

Our office also offers the latest in digital imaging including 3D Imaging to better understand the complex anatomy of each tooth.
